Parfums MDCI – Ftes Persanes
Ftes Persanes is the next logical step on an imaginary journey through the Near and Far East, leaving the souks of Turkey and moving now into ancient Persia and modern Iran. Named for the Ftes Persanes, another opera-ballet by 18th century French composer Jean-Philippe Rameau, this fragrance combines a set of woody, spicy, and floral notes to arrive at an olfactory vision of the harsh and noble landscape of the windswept Persian highlands.
The fragrance opens on a spicy-fresh note of black pepper mixed with bright bergamot and the creamy, resinous tang of elemi. A spiced rose emerges slowly in the heart, surrounded by the hot and spicy accents of cardamom, cinnamon, and clove. The spiced rose and citrusy pepper come to rest in a bed of white muck, smoky Gaiac wood, cedar, patchouli, and finally, the warming, softer nuances of creamy vanilla.
