Launched by Comme des Garonsin 2002, the Incense Series 3has become a beloved collection in the fragrance community. Each fragrance is linked to a different spiritual teaching and theworld historical site where it wasdeveloped.

Avignon is inspired by Catholicism and the city of Avignon in the south of France, an influential Catholic center in the 14th century. This is the scent of gothic cathedrals, with frankincense and myrrh absorbed into their walls, ceilings and wooden benches over centuries.
