Amouage Opus XIV Royal Tobacco is an intellectual and intensely sensorial expedition that traces the Tropic of Cancer from the sun-scorched deserts of Oman to the sultry nights of Cuba. Conceived by celebrated perfumer Ccile Zarokian, this Library Collection masterpiece fuses two cultural treasures: Omani Royal Frankincense, revered for its luminous, resinous aura, and Cuban Regal Tobacco, famed for its dark, velvety richness.
The fragrance opens with a radiant curl of frankincense smoke, brightened by facets of aromatic angelica and a whisper of sweet liquorice. Soon, a deep chord of sun-cured tobacco leaf surfaces, intertwining with creamy osmanthus and a trace of leather to evoke vintage cigar rooms and desert caravanserais in equal measure. As the journey settles, a sumptuous base of vanilla-laced benzoin, guaiac wood, and labdanum casts a warm, ambered glow that lingers long after twilight.
Opus XIV is more than perfume; it is a cultivated dialogue between worlds, a seamless conversation of spice, resin, and leaf. Spray it once, and you accompany frankincense from its ancient Omani groves to the storied tobacco barns of the Caribbeanexperiencing, in a single breath, the meeting of two empires of scent.
